Are you as tired as I am of watching and hearing nothing but negative news about the economy? If perception is reality and people are acting on emotion, do you suspect the national news media has actually become a "news maker" itself by shaping our opinions?
I mean, I don't believe that the news should sugar coat things or not report facts, but I don't think that any of us believe the days of objective journalism (if there ever were such days) exist anymore. News is about ratings. Shows are biased and sensational for the most part. Have you ever watched the local news when there were no big stories that day? The reporters cast about to try to create something "news worthy" out of the smallest event. When there is actually an accident, bad weather or even a murder to report, the less professional anchors can't conceal their glee.
Brian Williams, bless his heart, with his long face and dire information, reminds me of a funeral director.
It I am full of baloney, let me know it.
If you agree and have more to add, weigh in.

As Paul Harvey said in the early 90's, I'm not going to participate in this recession. (If only my customers would say this as well...)
